The Orbit Activities Update: Nov. 8-14

What’s happening at Epic this week? The Orbit Activities Update is here to show you!
November is picking up momentum, and so is the Orbit Activities Update! This week, students and families can explore Innovators Day, college and career opportunities, scholarships, extracurricular activities and picture days. There are also ways to give back, from a community service event to Letters to Heroes, a chance to thank military personnel serving overseas during Veterans Day week. Take a look and find what sparks your interest.
Featured Event: Innovators Day

Have a question you’ve been itching to test or an idea you’d love to build? Epic Charter Schools’ free Innovators Day gives students in grades 1–12 a place to experiment, create and see where their curiosity takes them. Explore science fair and Spark Tank projects, try hands-on STEAM activities, and meet other Epic families along the way.
You don’t need to enter a project—or have any experience—to join in. Come ready to explore in Oklahoma City on November 10. If you can’t make that event, Innovators Day is coming to Tulsa on November 17.
Academic Activities & Deadlines
Academic Enrichment
The qualifying window for the 2026–27 International Academic Competitions closes Nov. 13. Epic students can take virtual exams from home in subjects including geography, history, science and spelling, with the chance to advance to regional, national or international championships.
Community Service & Outreach
From Nov. 9–13, join the Letters to Heroes campaign and write a note of thanks to military personnel. In honor of Veterans Day, it’s a chance to put your appreciation into words and let those who serve know they’re not forgotten, even when they’re far from home.
Drop off your letter at any Epic microsite, or email it to letters2heroes@epiccharterschools.org.
