At Epic Charter Schools, we believe learning should be active, engaging and inspiring. Our academic enrichment activities are designed to spark curiosity, encourage creative thinking and give students the chance to apply their knowledge beyond the classroom. Whether it’s competing, presenting or collaborating with friends from across Oklahoma, these experiences bring academics to life in fun and meaningful ways.
This year, students can take part in a variety of events—including the Epic Spelling Bee, Innovators Day, International Academic Competitions and Tell-A-Tale Day. Each opportunity is deliberately crafted to help students build confidence, develop essential skills and discover new passions that will serve them for years to come.
ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT EVENTS
Spelling Bee
Epic Charter Schools is proud to partner with the Scripps National Spelling Bee, giving students in grades 1–8 an exciting chance to showcase their spelling skills and academic growth. Our Spelling Bee is more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity for students to expand their vocabulary, strengthen their language skills and gain confidence in a fun, supportive environment.
Epic holds two regional Bees, with students first competing at their grade level. Winners move on to our schoolwide Bee, and the top spellers from each region will represent Epic at the next level. Students who advance from regionals can earn a spot at the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Epic Innovators Day
Get ready to spark your curiosity and unleash your creativity at Epic Innovators Day! This exciting event brings together young scientists, engineers, inventors and entrepreneurs from all across Oklahoma for a high-energy day of hands-on discovery.
Whether you love science, technology, engineering, art or math, Innovators Day is your chance to shine. Present a Science Fair project, share a new invention or pitch your entrepreneurial idea to the Spark Tank. Dive into interactive STEAM activities, connect with fellow Epic students and experience a vibrant day dedicated to exploration and learning.
Students can compete for awards in science, entrepreneurship, and creative thinking—or just come to join the fun! Innovators Day is all about celebrating curiosity, building real-world skills and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and creators.

International Academic Competition
Are you ready to put your knowledge to the test and see how far your curiosity can take you? The International Academic Competitions at Epic Charter Schools invite students in grades 3–12 to compete in the National Geography Bee, National History Bee and National Science Bee—dynamic contests that challenge you to go beyond the classroom.
These competitions are your chance to dive deep into your favorite subjects, sharpen your critical thinking and develop real-world problem-solving skills. As you advance from regional to national and even international levels, you’ll grow academically and have the chance to earn awards, scholarships and recognition for your achievements.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just looking for a new academic adventure, all Epic students in grades 3–12 are welcome to join. Interested in learning more? Tell-A-Tale Day
Step into a world where stories come alive!
Tell-A-Tale Day at Epic Charter Schools is a one-of-a-kind celebration of reading, history and global adventure—all in a single, unforgettable event.
In conjunction with Read Across America, students will bring history to life in our Living Wax Museum, explore new cultures with Epic Explorers and celebrate reading with special guests like the Cat in the Hat. The day is packed with hands-on activities, interactive games and opportunities to discover new books and ideas. Every moment is designed to spark curiosity, build literacy skills and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Join us for a day where every story leads to new adventures!
