Superintendent Banfield will honor the Student Excellence Award winner during an Epic Charter Schools board meeting and present a certificate of achievement, and that student will be featured on the Epic website, social media and Epic News Network.
Nominations will be accepted during the final two weeks of each nine-week school semester. The honoree will be chosen from all received nominations on the last day of each semester.
Selection Criteria
The following criteria are used to measure a student’s progress in areas of academic achievement and extracurricular activities:

Minimum of 3 A’s on current report card (or exemplary improvement in grades).

Student recommended by teacher, parent or caregiver.

Participation in extracurricular activities (e.g. sports, volunteer/community service, music, hobbies, media, leadership).

Other awards, certificates or diplomas in the current or past school year.
