< Back Journalism & Creative Media About the Program The Epic News Network and Creative Media courses are specialty courses for students interested in journalism, photography, video production and audio production. Courses are available for everyone from the new learner to the old pro. We also have non-elective course options for junior high students. The student journalism program offers a Next Step-qualifying internship for our 11th and 12th grade students. This internship requires 60 hours of participation per semester for half an elective credit. Students may do more, but cannot exceed 120 hours (1 elective credit) per semester. Internship and Work Study courses are only available for 11th and 12th grade students. Canterbury Voices 424 Colcord Drive, Suite D, Oklahoma City, OK, 73102 Vendor Website Canterbury Youth Voices (CYV) is a curriculum and performance-based youth choral program, stressing artistic excellence with enhanced musical literacy through music training and performance opportunities where Oklahoma youth sing together! Children attending public, home, private, and parochial schools experience the excitement of music with friends in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our four Canterbury Youth Voices choirs for grades 2-12 meet weekly on Tuesdays. The curriculum-based program offers performance opportunities and experiences that set CYV apart from other regional children’s choruses. In addition to frequent collaborations with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Canterbury Youth Voices has been selected five times as an Oklahoma Music Educators Honor Choir, and honored once as a select choir for the Southwestern American Choral Directors Association. < Back Key Club About the Club Key Club members around the world are learning how to lead and stand for what’s right through service and volunteerism. In partnership with their local Kiwanis club, high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in their schools and communities. With thousands of clubs in more than 38 countries, the impact of Key Club members can be felt all over the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels. < Back Chess Club About the Club The Epic Chess Club is designed to give students an opportunity to learn the game of chess, improve their chess skills, and to enjoy challenging their peers. The ancient game of chess can develop confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving, strategy, and decision-making. Our goal is to encourage all of these, but our main focus will be to inspire learning, sportsmanship, and fun. Meetings: Chess Club meets are in zoom on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
