Ready. Set. Know.

Greetings, Epic Families.

State testing is an important part of every school year. It gives us an opportunity to see how our students are doing, where they are growing and where we, as a school, need to improve.

It also matters in ways that extend far beyond individual test scores.

Participation in state testing is required by law and can affect school accountability and funding. In turn, that can affect our ability to provide the flexibility, services and opportunities our students and families have come to expect from Epic Charter Schools.

Simply put, testing matters — both to our students and our school.

That’s why this year we are taking a more intentional approach to helping students and families understand and prepare for testing throughout the school year.

Moving forward, you’ll see it referred to as Ready. Set. Know.

The idea is simple: Testing readiness doesn’t begin a few weeks before the first test. It begins now.

The 2027 testing schedule is now available in the news section of the Epic website. In the coming months, we’ll share Ready. Set. Know. information and resources to help families understand what to expect, to build healthy routines and to prepare students academically and emotionally for testing season.
