Drama Club Connection: Creating Characters with Character. The mission of DCC is to awaken the hidden potential of children to learn how to effectively communicate through character creation. Why Drama? Because, skills learned and practiced in drama help build confidence, foster listening skills, teaches communication using your body and voice, instills the value of others, promotes teamwork, develops leadership traits, inspires courage and confidence, champions self-control and personal discipline, promotes the usefulness of constructive criticism, develops social skills, teaches how to relax and concentrate under pressure, and encourages creativeness. These skills are important in life, ministry, and valued by employers. The method used to teach these skills are games and live performances.
