Whether or not those who participate in the program decide to go into healthcare or not, they will come out of the experience with a better understanding of their own career goals, as well as formulating their own perception of their health and the healthcare industry. Students will learn about current issues and topics in the world of health sciences. This club will plan a variety of activities, including plans to invite guest speakers in the health sciences profession, hold debates regarding medical controversies, and find remote and in-person volunteering opportunities. Students will hear from medical professional guest speakers and engage in medical/biology-related activities (virtual dissections, suturing clinics, sonography, scientific paper review, volunteer opportunities).
