Epic Basketball

About the Club

Uniforms

All players will have the opportunity to purchase an official Epic Charter School basketball uniform. A link to the online store will be emailed upon completing registration in the online Parent Portal. Uniforms will be mailed to the address provided during purchase..

Teams

Teams will be formed by the geographical area in which they live. Our role is to connect players to coaches. As players sign up to participate, we will facilitate those connections.

Practice Schedule

Each team’s coach will be responsible for scheduling practice locations, dates, and times. We will assist coaches in this endeavor should they need it.

Game Schedule

Coaches will have the autonomy to set up a schedule that best suits their team. Epic is partnering with numerous basketball event coordinators across the state to ensure we provide the best possible experience for our students.

Gold Ball

In February, Epic (9th – 12th grade) high school basketball teams (boys and girls) will come together for Epic’s Gold Ball state tournament championship. All dates, times, and locations will be provided and communicated at a later date.

Learning Fund

Students and families will be able to use the Learning Fund to pay for participating in the basketball tournaments by selecting the “Basketball Bundle.” The total cost to the student’s Learning Fund for participation is $60. These funds can be used for tournament registration fees. However, uniforms are not allowed to be purchased through the Learning Fund and will be the responsibility of participating families. The approved uniforms will cost approximately $60 and players will be allowed to keep their uniforms. A link will be provided to an online store at the time of registration for uniform purchases. Coaches will be responsible for their equipment.

VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED

We are looking for coaches all over the state who would be interested in coaching a boys and/or girls basketball team in grades 3 through 12. If you are interested in coaching or know of someone who would be, please have them contact Zachary Gipson at zachary.gipson@epiccharterschools.org. These are volunteer positions and all coaches will be required to pass a background check.
