Contact the vendor to set up services and ensure they know the student will use their Learning Fund to pay for services. The vendor will then submit invoices to our Accounts Payable team at activity@epiccharterschools.org . Please be sure your student has the funds to pay for services before enrolling them. We will use the amount available to pay towards the invoice. Any balance remaining with the vendor is the parent/guardian's responsibility. Important Guidelines Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, the Learning Fund will cover services provided by an approved vendor for August - June as long as the following guidelines are met: The student must currently be enrolled in Epic. For June services the student must be enrolled for the upcoming school year at the time the invoice is processed. The deadline for enrollment is May 31st for Epic to pay summer invoices. Graduating students may not use their Learning Fund for summer activities following graduation. All invoices must be submitted in the month the services are rendered. The only exception will be for May ’26 and June ’26 services. These should be invoiced separately by April 30, 2026. (We will hold those invoices and pay them once the services are rendered as long as the first two bullet points above are met.) Oklahoma’s Promise is a higher education tuition scholarship, offered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, awarded to qualified Oklahoma students. Oklahoma's Promise Important Information Students must apply for Oklahoma’s Promise in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades. Parents’ federal adjusted gross income may not exceed the set income limits at the time of the application. Students who have been legally adopted or are in legal guardianships may be granted special income provisions. Students under the age of 18 years old, in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 or until December 31st of their senior year of high school may apply online on the official Oklahoma’s Promise website. Students 18 years of age or older, in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 or until December 31st of their senior year of high school must apply using the paper version of the application. Students must meet academic and conduct requirements in high school. Students should work with their Graduation Support Specialists to ensure they enroll in eligible Oklahoma’s Promise courses. Choosing the right college is an exciting step toward your future. There are many important factors to consider, including location, size, cost, academic programs, student life, and admission requirements. Students are encouraged to explore schools where they feel supported, inspired, and empowered to thrive. Having a basic understanding of how colleges differ can help you make confident, informed decisions. While all accredited colleges offer degrees and student support services, each type of school provides unique opportunities that can shape your educational experience and career path. Students should review these requirements thoroughly before submitting an application to ensure they meet all qualifications and deadlines. Students should only submit one admission application per college, no matter the application type options offered. Typically, if a college offers more than one admission application type, the college has no preference on which application type the student selects. Students should only apply for college admission during their final year of high school. Students graduating from high school should apply to college using an undergraduate, first-time and/or freshman admission application. All graduating high school students, regardless of the number of college credit hours earned through concurrent enrollment during high school, are still considered incoming freshmen for college admission purposes. Students enrolled at Epic Charter Schools are public school students and should indicate this on all college admission applications. Transcript Request Instructions Common App For students who apply to colleges using Common App, automatic transcript requests will be made once a Counselor Recommender is added in the Recommenders and FERPA section. Most colleges offer this option, allowing students to apply exclusively to their institution. These applications are typically completed online and may include custom questions or requirements specific to that school. Tailored to the college's specific admission process. Often includes school-specific scholarship or program applications. Allows for a focused, direct connection with the institution. Common App The Common App allows students to apply to multiple colleges through a single, streamlined platform. With one application, students can submit their materials to any of the more than 1,000 participating colleges across the country. Saves time by using the same core information for multiple schools. Offers built-in tools for tracking deadlines and requirements. Includes sections for recommendation letters, essays and transcripts. Students who meet eligibility criteria set by the college may request to have their admission fee waived. Direct Admission Application Students applying directly through a college’s website and needing a fee waiver may request assistance from College Planning Counselor, Brianna Strickler. The appropriate admission fee waiver form, accepted by the college, will be completed and submitted on the student’s behalf. Common App The Common App includes a built-in option for students to request a fee waiver directly within the application. Students will be prompted to indicate their financial need and confirm eligibility. Oklahoma offers comprehensive Inclusive Postsecondary Education Programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. These programs provide support for students to advance skills in the areas of independent living, social interaction, academics and employment. Oklahoma currently has three certificate programs that are designed by the United States Department of Education as comprehensive transition and postsecondary education programs for students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. University of Oklahoma Sooner Works Northeastern State University RiverHawks Scholar Program Oklahoma State University Opportunity Orange Scholars Students enrolled in these programs may be eligible for federal financial aid obtained by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Oklahoma Access and Achievement Scholarship provides educational benefits to Oklahoma residents with intellectual disabilities enrolled in comprehensive transition and postsecondary programs approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
