Scholarship Consulting & Student Success Services provides HS juniors and seniors with guidance on college applications, scholarship research, assistance with writing scholarship and college entrance essays, résumé support, FAFSA, Oklahoma Promise, and understanding TRIO and Student Support Services. As a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and a first-generation college graduate, she enjoys helping Native American Youth navigate their academic and career goals. She has helped students become recipients of the Cobell Native American Scholarship, Chahta Foundation Scholarships (Jack Austin Sr. Memorial, Heritage & Healing Scholarship, Tribal District 11 Scholarship, Chahta Undergraduate Scholarship), Choctaw Career Development, Choctaw Higher Education Scholarship, Masonic Charity Foundation Scholarship of Oklahoma, and others. She has helped students get accepted into OSU, OU, NSU, SOSU, OSU-OKC Fire Academy, Tulsa Tech’s EMT program, Kiamichi Tech, and Tulsa Community College.
Dr. Cathey is state-certified as a PK-12 teacher and school administrator through the Oklahoma & Arkansas State Departments of Education. She taught for 16 years on the college level and 9 years on the PK-12 level. Currently, she serves as a dissertation/thesis chair and reader for Liberty University Online and as a supervisor of student teachers at East Texas A&M University.
