Camp CANOE is a summer day camp designed specifically for children with high functioning to mildly severe autism. The mission of Camp Fire and Camp CANOE is to build caring, confident youth and future leaders. While each day will be filled with a variety of outdoor activities to enhance the development of social, motor, and sensory processing skills, the safety of campers is a top priority.
Camp Fire Service Learning Clubs
Clubs are led by trained adults who meet regularly with small groups to encourage new friendships. build confidence and self-esteem. as well as earning awards and emblems while participating in outdoor activities and community service. Club members learn to demonstrate a sense of selfless service. effectively work in a team to accomplish goals. and develop positive relationships with peers and safe adults.
