Pride Program

कार्यक्रम के बारे में

Epic Charter Schools welcomes all students regardless of race, culture, gender, or identity. Epic Charter Schools wants all students to feel welcomed and valued. Epic is happy to have offered PRIDE, our LGBTQ+ student organization for the previous 3 years and it will continue to be offered for the 2024-2025 school year. Our student feedback has been 100% positive.

Statistics from 2022 National Survey on LGBTQ Mental Health

  • 45% of LGBTQ youth seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year.

  • 73% of LGBTQ youth reported experiencing symptoms of anxiety

  • 58% of LGBTQ youth reported experiencing symptoms of depression

  • LGBTQ youth who found their school to be LGBTQ-affirming reported lower rates of attempting suicide, anxiety, and depression.

Student Organization

The PRIDE organization is a group of open-minded and accepting students that may be going through similar, or different experiences that you are going through. Students share, listen, and learn from each other and from the group leader. Topics of discussion have included: different identities, the pride flags, LGBTQ+ history and current issues, art, media, self-esteem, body image, acceptance, coming out, and more.

If you are interested in joining PRIDE, please fill out this Interest Form.
