TULSA AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM INC

3624 N 74th East Ave Tulsa, OK, 74115

The Tulsa Air and Space Museum is an awesome place to learn! Our exhibit hall features more than 13 aircraft and several hands-on flight simulators. We have one of the best planetariums in our region that features a 50' full dome screen with 110 theatre seats and optional stage for meetings or presentations. With hundreds of options for planetarium shows, live star tours are available.
Our museum offers several hands-on classes for students in grades PreK-12th grade. Each program can be customized to 30-60 minutes in length (depending on student age). Activities in each program align with Oklahoma Academic Standards and STEM principles and encourage students to use problem-solving skills through communication and teamwork. The content of our programs focuses on aviation-focused STEM, astronomy themes and social studies/history themes and concepts that integrate a fun, hands-on learning approach. Aircraft can also be scheduled to be on static display so students can sit in the cockpit of a flying aircraft and talk to a pilot. Classes offered include Stomp Rockets, Phases of the Moon, Oklahoma/Tulsa Oil Boom History, Owl Pellet Dissections, Laboratory Safety, Basic Microscope Usage, 3-D Printing, Scout Badges in aviation, astronomy and more.... Museum scavenger hunts can be themed to meet various Oklahoma education standards within social studies, history, and science areas. (Some classes are age restricted for safety)
The museum meeting spaces can also be rented for testing, tutoring, mentoring, teacher professional development, etc. Professional Development training for educators can also be scheduled for 3-D Printing, Astronomy and other areas by request.
